A global culinary phenomenon arrives in Trinidad & Tobago.
A moment. A movement. A global tradition.
Thousands of guests dressed all in white arrive at a secret location for a chic picnic en masse — a global culinary phenomenon with joie de vivre and local flair.
Born in Paris in 1988 as an intimate gathering between friends, Dîner en Blanc has grown into a worldwide tradition celebrated in more than 80 cities across six continents. Each edition unites elegance, spontaneity, and community around a single evening — one shared table under an open sky, in a place revealed only at the last moment.
Guests bring their own tables, chairs, fine linens, and picnic baskets — turning a hidden public space into a candlelit banquet hall that appears for one night, then vanishes. It is a celebration of friendship, food, and the city itself.
How the evening unfolds, moment by moment
Guests meet at designated points across the city with tables and picnic baskets in hand. Volunteers guide them toward the undisclosed destination.
Thousands converge on the secret location within twenty minutes, unfolding tables and place settings in unison across the space.
At the appointed moment, guests wave white napkins in unison — the elegant signal that dinner has officially begun.
An evening of shared plates, fine wine, and unhurried conversation with strangers who become friends by dessert.
As dinner concludes, the entire assembly lights the sky — sparklers and lanterns marking the transition from feast to celebration.
Live entertainment fills the night. Tables become a dancefloor. The city itself becomes the ballroom.
Guests pack their tables and leave the space exactly as they found it — nothing left behind but the memory of a singular night.
